Information on Chocolate Invasion/The Slaughterhouse please. I recently discovered the Chocolate Invasion and The slaughterhouse "albums".
I would like it if anyone could give me more information about them. When and where the songs were recorded, when they ended up on NPGMC, and any other information regarding these songs. Thanks. | |

Dawnation has a great write-up on all of the NPG stuff as well.
On a side note, the Search box on this site is poorly placed and labeled, and probably a reason we get so many repetitive threads. |

First, yes, use the search feature. Despite popular opinion and laziness from others, it DOES work.
Second, those two albums are basically misc tracks released the first year of NPG Music Club, in 2001 (Feb 2001-Jan 2002). A chunk of all those songs made up the unreleased album High. All the songs were compiled by style (or horribleness vs morehorribleness) and named as such. It was just a way to get those songs back out and make some other money off them, and of course offer them in the future to other NPGMC members or folks who really wanted them. They were available through 2002 and maybe 2003. | |

When the NPG Music Club launched its Musicology Download Store on 29th March, 2004, The Chocolate Invasion was offered as one of three new collections of previously-available tracks (the other two being The Slaughterhouse and C-Note). Quotations and trivia The title The Chocolate Invasion comes from a repeating line in Judas Smile - "The chocolate invasion is here". Judas Smile contains slight musical embellishments on the previously-available track. Sex Me? Sex Me Not is a remix of the previously-available track, containing an entire new spoken part, and references to Judas Smile and the title of the album. Vavoom and U Make My Sun Shine are extended versions of the previously-available tracks. The Dance was later re-recorded for the album 3121.
