Habibi on display at "America I Am" Exhibit For those of you who live or will be travelling to the Los Angeles area, Tavis Smiley has an exhibit at the California Science Center called "America I Am". Though I'm not a huge fan of Tavis I will tip my hat to him, its a beautiful exhibit. It chronicles the history of African Americans from slavery until present day. The additional audio feature is moderated by Tavis and Dr. Cornell West.
Prince was one the many supporters of this exhibit and his guitar, Habibi, is on display in the musical contributions section of the exhibit. There's a snippet of him in the video montage that wraps the exhibit. Also, there's a page on him the "American I Am-Legends" book as well. Being that its Black History Month I urge you to check out the exhibit and take your kids as well, you won't be disappointed. Oh yeah, there's a historic piece from my alma mater, Hampton University, on display too. | |

^Thanks, tinetime for the info. Just clicked the link. Interesting info. Thanks to Prince for allowing the Habibi to be part of the "America I Am" exhibit, in honor of Black History Month, and also for his contributions as a well-respected musician who has given us his gift of music throughout the years.
