Retro prince hairdo triggering negative flashbacks. The early to mid nineties prince with the strange hairdos I think was emblimatic of a prince who was totally of his game. While I know it's about the music and not a hairstyle the prince look of the last 6 or 7 years was both classy and dignified. I hate that he's gone back to his nineties tendencies. It's kind of depressing actually. I thought prince had outgrown that phase.

strangely, i agree lol. It's like the Tampa Bay Bucs going back to creamsicle jersey's lol. Ali wore red trunks in his first fight with frazier and lost, never wore em again lol. I saw that thing at the vikes/cowboys play-off game, we dont need to be reminded about that period lol.

I agree. I think he should re-grow his mullet so he can get back to writing classics like Purple Rain again. He should definately not go long. Last thing we need is another Grafitti Bridge or Rave. Erik blah blah blah

now hes in his 50's would you like your dad sporting a fuckin typhoon????? 1. In the 90's Prince was in his 30's...hardly a young man. 2. Is there any age that is appropriate for a man (that is not a rock star) to wear a typhoon? 3. Prince is in his 50's, but hardly like my dad. I wouldn't want my dad wearing heels, makeup, or pimped out suits/outfits. Prince? I wouldn't want him any other way. 4. The hair Prince has now is not a typhoon in the 1990's style. It is more of a pompadour type of thing. [Edited 1/28/10 7:00am] "New Power slide...."

half the people on here, there's a thread about his boosh every other day. The threads that I find interesting (details about songs/projects, etc...) always seem to vanish without trace overnight to he replaced with yet another 'post a pic of Prince with his eyes shut' or somesuch thread. Can we split the forum 'music & more' and have 'Prince- music' and a separate forum 'prince - trivia' for all the other guff? Erik blah blah blah

Sometimes I think it's either 1) a desperate attempt to see one's self have a thread on some website, or 2), a fan overtly obsessed with their hero. Either way, it's a bit wankerish, don't ya think?

Correct, but does it warrant a person actually sitting down to type the "and more" part by saying that Prince's hair is "depressing" to them really???

That way those of us who want to talk music can do so separate from those that want to talk about his pubes. Won't happen though, but I can dream. Erik blah blah blah

Prince, to me, looks like he has a piece on. Since about 2002 I have seen tracks. Or at least what looks like tracks, or perhaps a not so obvious like Jermaine Jackson lacefront 27 piece.
Wasn't his dad bald? Or at least thinned in the hair dept?

Ummmm i can't really go a on a wig witch hunt, but if you think Beyonce, Tyra Banks, and any other actor/actress has all their natural hair you need to sit in a beauty salon once in a while.

As a hair stylist, we always heard (but never fully believed) that your hair patterns would developed from your mother's father, so your maternal grandfather would be your gene source for that. No clue if it's true. Doesn't seem like it is, really.

Doesn't make the music any different, but since you brought it up, I disagree with you. I hate his hair now. Granted, half of it's falling out, but still. Sheesh.

Don't kid yourself prince's appearance and looks have been as much of a factor in his success as his music. If Prince looked like Keenan Thompson from Saturday night live his music would have been largely ignored.
