Your Prince Mix CD?

(If you were to) Make a playlist that fits on a single blank CD (up to 1.3 hours on iTunes) what would you have one it and in what order?
Here's mine:
1. Venus de Milo
2. Sacrifice of Victor
3. Endorphinmachine
4. Pop Life
5. Sexuality
6. Kiss
7. If I Was Your Girlfriend
8. Thieves in the Temple
9. 1999
10. Dirty Mind
11. Dinner with Delores
12. Guitar
13. Controversey
14. Rockhard in a Funky Place
15. Sign 'O' the Times
16. Raspberry Beret
17. Little Red Corvette
18. Alphabet St.
19. Vicki Waiting
20. Black Sweat
21. When Doves Cry

I use the Hits versions because they allow me to fit more tracks in there. What's your mix? What do you think about mine?

I'm rather picky when it comes to Prince CDs...the songs have to blend together somewhat. Some of yours I can't imagine blending together, but that's because I'm biased towards 1980-1988. Use your CD to educate those who are ignorant to the man!

Here's one I've given to quite a few folks..you know, those who only know the basics, the hits of the 80s. Several have told me they LOVE this CD and I'm pretty proud of it. I made it using a Cakewalk program that allows you to fade songs into one another, "remaster" the sound, etc.

SHE'S ALWAYS IN MY HAIR (EXTENDED)

POP LIFE

Cool mix, it's got a smooth feel to it and a pretty unpredictable variety.

I think it's a very good mix. Dirty Mind is a great pick, it captures the boldness of the early days. And I like your inclusion of Vicki Waiting, an unusual and great pick. There are some I wouldn't choose like for example Rockhard In A Funky Place.

My mix CD:

(also using The Hits versions to get under 80 minutes on a CD-R, great idea by the way to use those versions to save time)

1. Controversy
2. Do Me Baby
3. Little Red Corvette
4. Lady Cab Driver
5. Darling Nikki
6. Mountains
7. Forever In My Life
8. Alphabet St.
9. Cream
10. I Hate U
11. Sex In The Summer
12. Come On
13. Wherever U Go, Whatever U Do
14. She Loves Me 4 Me
15. The One U Wanna C
16. Dance 4 Me

duration 76:57

I think the chronological order fits in this case, it becomes a journey through Prince's career.
