The DTT Is Back Up and Running Just a quick note:
The Databank Transcription Team is rekindling itself. One of the other team members has taken the horns, as Ted is taking a side seat to things, although he's still in control of everything ultimately, and we're pushing to start things up. All of Lotusflow3r and Mplsound has been drafted, as has Indigo Nights. We'll eventually tackle Elixer once we finish the Prince stuff. I know there are still things, hit and miss, that we've skipped over time (like maybe a different version on a maxi single, etc), but I am going to suggest we chip away at that once we're done with the aforementioned albums. It wasn't ever gone, or the site taken down, we just kind of disappeared from working on new things. Lotus has been out almost a year, and there is nothing about it up there. Same with Indigo Nights. | |

Is there something missing somewhere I'm not aware of? We decipher what is on the record only. There are no liner notes/lyrics to be our guide, but there was some transcribed lyrics somewhere floating on the web. Either way, the basic lyrics have been drafted, and we'll work from there to get it as right as we can, based on Prince's own mouth. | |

I meant the verse that`s on the record where he name checks Maxwell & Cee-lo (i think). Those lyrics arnt on the Lotusflow3r site. Oh believe me, there is no hope on my end for that miserable album. I wasn't sure if I missed something along the way. I haven't looked at those lyrics so until we address the song on the DTT, I have no idea how it was printed actually. Soon enough, I will though. | |
