Elephants and flowers unreleased version...

Hi all,

This is one of my favorite unreleased alternates, It's one of those songs of which the unreleased version is superior to the released song. I recently found the version on ''30 years of unreleased funk'' and it is slightly longer than the version previously available. It's still an edit though and [do not ask where to find/get snip - luv4u] is this the edit as Prince made on the acetate(s?). It doesn'look like it since it's quite a sudden edit....

I've heard a few different versions of this song and I like the unreleased versions better.

I like the lower tone to both his voice (he supposedly was sick) and the sax.

Unless there are other really different-sounding alternate / demo versions floating around than the one I have, I definitely prefer the released version myself.

You mean, like, the bit about the naked 18-year-olds?

Maybe... its the lightening and painted Jesus on the back of the jacket, the name Coco, the low sax bass line.

I think the released one sounds too pop and tinny!

Unjustified snip! I only asked if this is the only version available/ in existence/ circulation and if there is a longer version. I SPECIFICALLY didn't ask for where to find ANYTHING!

THAT and the justified line of 'putting words in other people's minds will get you elected' which he probably removed for the political sensitivities of such a remark in a post-election year
