Always loved this one, listen 2 this right after God the Love Theme

I don't know if this was performed on the Parade show, but it sounds really good during their Parade rehearsal

I've said this a million times (at least), but I think this is the single "happiest" piece of music Prince ever wrote. It's all sunshine, blue sky, warm breezes and being in love. The major key, strings and open chords just say, "My heart is open to the world and I've never been happier."

I would love to have confirmation on where he wrote it (Boris? Langleu? Bueller?), because it sounds like Paris, to me.

Yes it was - can't say now when exactly but I remember.

It's very lively and it's rather easy to play along. Every single second of the song is perfect balanced. Even the very last WRANG WRang wrang...
What do you mean it's not in the computer?

It was performed during that tour. It's on the "San Francisco" Sabotage boot.

I also think it is the most "film score-ish" piece of music he ever wrote.

Also played at First Ave 03/03/86, the first of the Hit-n-Runs. It's on the Veni Vidi Vici boot.

IIRC, it's on the Mountains 12".

Yes, and it's a wonderful, beautiful pairing of A-side and B-side. nod

It was also an extra track on the UK Letitgo CD-Single. I think that's the only legitimate CD release of the song.

In most cases, that's true. I've always had to track down the goods from the UK and Japan to complete my CD collections. Actually, the US market never really accepted CD-Singles for whatever reason.

I'm not sure if this is Prince's "happiest" song, but I have to admit... I smile whenever I hear it. Maybe it's because I loved that scene in UCTM so much! smile ... you know... seeing his short ass dancing with Mary, and all the fantastic lines they exchanged. What a hoot! lol

As far as his happiest song (I'm sure that was a thread), I'd have to go with Starfish and Coffee. He just seems happy there... looking back on his childhood. smile

Fantastic song... whimsicle... and in my opinion, it sounds like he wrote it while overlooking the beach... maybe someplace in the Mediterranean during the film shooting. lol
