This is a really good record with many of the best artists doing some nice songs. Prince could have done an amazing cover or original that would have been the highlight and gained him new young fans, not to mention help raise a ton of money. Too bad this opportunity was missed.

I agree..it's a shame that Prince didn't participate but I guess we shouldn't be surprised.He never does these type of events I'm just glad that one of my other favorite artists was there

This is a pretty picture of Madonna. I watched about an hour of the telethon...I wish I would have seen the whole thing. It's very kind of everyone to do whatever they can. Even Just a Prayer of Compassion can help heal.

Prince gaining new fans doesn't help Haiti at all. These artists are just attention-whoring. I'd love to see what Madonna donated vs. what she earned in royalties from the record.

The show earned over $58 million in donations just that day it aired. I'm sure much more from itunes sales. Say what you want about them trying to get attention, but that's some real money for the Red Cross to use for Haiti.
