Billy Sunglasses (Instrumental) question

I have both the Billy vocal and instrumental, however the instrumental had cut off at about 8 minutes suddenly I believe..was there more to the track? Does it just fade out or what?

The part of the jam that leaked was 45 minutes or so and incorporated parts of Strange Relationship.

"Billy" vocal and instrumental are both just a part of that entire jam.

Oh, and the guitar solo lasts over 10 minutes before Prince starts talking to Billy about his sunglasses.

And then it breaks down after 40 minutes, the band comes to a halt and he leads them into the coda of Strange Relationship.

There is no studio version that i am aware of
What is out there is a rehearsal (31 minutes long, or was it 50 lol }

What you have is an "fan made" edit of the song biggrin

Btw, this is not true, the "Billy" jam breaks down, then Prince leads them into a short jam on Strange Relationship's instrumental coda before it breaks apart again.

Now the rehearsal jam dubbed "White Girls" does incorporate other songs, which is what I mixed it up with.

Yeah, I love that 'Billy Sunglasses' jam. I love that solo at the end right b4 he goes in2 'Strange Relationship'. Tha Drums and keys r switching up, it was crazy. That would have been an interesting interlude on an official album at that time.

Yeah I can see how that can be overbearing after a while lol but to US it's heaven!

The drum track is hot....I would have loved this to be a official tune with some nice old school keyboards going through it.

Yes, to us its manna from heaven. It's kind of nice not having a lot of synth keyboard though. Very skeletal. But of course an offical tune would be awesome nod
