just watched the bbc omnibus special on prince from 1991 i think .....it showed clips from a lovesexy aftershow from camden which i take it is where he played his famous guitar solo to just my imagination.....it looked like a pro shoot from various angles....just wondering if a full copy of this aftershow has been seen by anyone ?.....it would be something to see judging by the clips shown.....

the show was from the camden palace during the morning of 26/07/88. that venue is now known as koko, and prince played there during the morning of 14/05/07 after announcing the 21 nights at the o2

the full show on video remains locked in the vaults and hasn't been seen or circulated amongst fans. the omnibus/prince of paisley park clips are all that have been seen

there is an audience recording of part of the rest of the aftershow however


and camden is an area in north london, not to be confused with new jersey usa

the omnibus documentary is based around an in house paisley park documentary, and it seems the footage in the bbc special was provided as-is by paisley park, rather than the bbc being given access to the full shows to use the parts they wanted. there was a slightly differently edited version of omnibus shown in the states called the prince of paisley park, and a shortened version available for download on npgmc a few years ago. sometimes the bbc are given footage to edit themselves. i knew a guy who had hours of unused bob dylan footage leftover from omnibus or something the bbc did on him. his mate was the cameraman or something like that, another dylan fan and gave him a perfect quality dub from the unedited masters. if paisley park had provided copies of the full shows or more footage it would have came out one way or another
