Dance 4 Me - David Alexander Icon Remix

So there was that commercial for the remix of "Dance 4 Me", which I thought sounded pretty good. I like good club music sometimes, so it appealed to me.

Based on 26 ratings, it has a 4 out of 5 stars on iTunes.

I've never heard anyone else bring it up since that advertisement. Just wondered everyone's thoughts about it, if they've heard it, etc.

Not my cup of tea. Very American club type song I reckon. Not at all European (which means it's not "with it").

The Icon remix was hated on pretty badly... Not Purple and Gold bad, but bAd nonetheless. The video with the bald white guy lookin all smug about remixing a Prince song took it over the top. Its a very generic club remix. I wanna hear the other 2 mixes.

If by European you mean 200 beats per minute, then no, it wasn't. hehehehe

I wonder what Prince music would sound like if he put a donk on it...
I think someone should remix Purple Rain, maybe get a bit of chav-rap MC-ing on it as well. I bet that would be a total success.

Yes, I'm joking!

I wasn't implying "European cool" musically, more that this side of the water has "it", whereas the "other" side of the water does not loser

They played it mixed with something else at the Saloon gay bar in Minneapolis, sounded way better than the Icon mix.

I really did not like what he did with the version. He realyl didnt experiement with any new sounds or strech the acapella in diffrent manners and ways. David Morales should have had his way with htis.

I prefer Purple And Gold to that shit remix.

I hate dance remixes.

I long for the return of the Extended version.

When I lived in Mpls in 1997, yes. I went there, and The Gay '90's.

Co-sign all of the above.

Absolutely love the album track but truly despise that remix. I really do prefer Purple and Gold.
RIP sad

It kinda grew on my a little bit. I like dance music and all... my only gripe is that its so damned generic. I'd only give it 2/4 stars personally.
Change it one more time..

I think its a pretty terrible remix, David sadly takes samples from the original track that doesn't suit the remix.. Could of been a really good remix

There's part of me that loves a good freakin' club song. I was digging the mix he was making in the video. I think it'd be on a few playlists.

I do agree with Landonfunkmonkey that I long for the days of the extended mix, opposed to the remixes of today.
