I usually like in some form, everything Prince has done. This got to be the first Prince song that sounds terrible. Even Jimmy Kimmel commented tonight that this sounds like the worst Prince song ever. When I heard it on Kimmel tonight, I thought it was a joke!

I usually love all things Prince, Lord knows I love his dirty G-String, but I am rooting for Da Saints BIG TIME!!!!! It's normal for anyone to cheer on the "home team" but who can root against the Saints? They're now America's Team. Every city would love to win any Championship of any kind, but winning the Super Bowl would mean more to the city of New Orleans than it would anywhere else. The Saints helped bring that city back to life. Although raised in Texas, I've got Louisiana roots. Both parents from there, and I was raised on gumbo, red beans and rice, cracklings, boudin, Popeye's Chicken, and sweet potato pie! And if Prince admits it, he's Creole too; a crazy Frenchman just raised up north! His mama had green/hazel eyes just like mine are. Look at his eyes; we could be kissing cousins. So come on home to your roots Prince!!!

Now I can see one positive in Prince rarely coming to Australia. Less chance he will see Australian Rules Football, and thus even less chance he will ever be moved to write a song about my team.

well...when i heard Prince was doing a song for the Vikes, i was hyped...

I've pretty much been a lifelong Vikings fan (for more than 30 years) and was the HUGEST Prince fan in my area too (though mainly for the 1st 10 years of his career, after that it was kinda hit or miss for me, and i became more of a sporadic fan) ...

so like i said, when i heard my boy Prince was gonna do a song for my Vikes i was like 'cool!'...I expected to like it. I really wanted to like it. It was one of my favorite musicians making a song for my favorite team after all.

then i HEARD the song....

and threw up a little in my mouth and in my ears.
