Funny how all these folks are coming out of the woodwork to bash the song.

That's cool. This is an anthem. It's not the greatest "fight song" (your words, not Prince's) ever written, but it's in exactly the same vein as "Bear Down, Chicago Bears" or "All Hail the Redskins". The only thing any true Vikings fan would change about this is having it delivered a week earlier, so that it could have been played during a Vikings home game. Obviously, this isn't going to be played at New Orleans over the weekend. This song will still be played at Vikings game fifty years from now. Deal with it. Finally some common sense. Stand Up! Being a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan as well as a lifelong Prince fan this is rather dishearten to hear about this song.
It's kind of like two worlds colliding and I am not sure how to address that. Especially after still being pissed about the Cowboys (lack of  ) performance against the Vikings last weekend. I haven't listened to the song yet, but I know that at this point in time my football side would over rule the music side. .
Maybe after the Superbowl I will be able to listen to the song with an objective ear. | |
