So Ive been trying to collect the numerous things "P" has released... I got myself a copy of this like 4 days ago.. I listened to it last night and I truly just loved how everything meshed together on those tracks (very soothing) anybody else have any love for these tracks/ songs? I was impressed I didn't know what to expect from this (single)

My opinion: I love this 12 inch, it's a Prince classic.

It's really good--don't get me wrong. But it's something a fan would buy--not something the general public would get or even enjoy. This is the Prince I actually like--the old Prince would didn't care if anyone got him or not.

The dialogue is kinda cornball, but the vocals and the keyboards and the clean guitar solo and the drums and the backing vocals and the saxophone and the harp and the dirty guitar solo and the bells make up for it!

This is a great romantic track. I remember all of the hoopla over it when it came out. The whole story of the recording session with Kim Basinger and a jar of honey. I always thought the "Sex Suite" version of Scandalous deserved a video over the regular album cut.

The guitar solo on The Passion... is it... whichever section has the extended guitar break... anyway, the solo is actually a slowed down version of the solo on Dear MichaelAngelo off Romance 1600 by Sheila E. How strange.

Amazing, totally worth it. You need the 5 track version, which includes the 20 minute opus of Scandalous (The crime, rapture, passion) A supreme track called sex and when 2 r in love one of his finest songs. The cover is a camp classic too, he reminds me of a really camp guy I used to know called Rana Simon.

I love the second version of "Scandalous" but I don't care for the other two versions on the 12 Inch. I also don't like the way the three are continuous because it sounds very sloppy if you only want to play the second version inbetween songs from other artists. You have to fade the song in rather than having a nice clean professional sounding beginning.

I have it. "When 2 are in love," is the fifth track. I Love it. I guess I'll go put it on.

Absolute LOVE the 5 track version of this... the version on Batman can't hold a candle to the trifecta on the suite... (especially the Passion)... oh la la!

Funny you should mention this as I just revisited this classic about a month ago. It's songs like this with his incredible voice and emotion that truly make him the incredible artist he is! A classic!
