Prince DVD!

Im contemplating whether to purchase 'the glory years' but i dont know if its just everything ive already seen/heard repeated. Ive seen purple doves and most other interviews of prince. Is glory years good? Insightful?
What other prince dvds (about him) are good?

I enjoyed it. Interesting opinions from relevant people during that particular time. If all you have seen is The Purple Dove Interviews, this would be a nice addition, imo. This unofficial documentary does have video clips as well.

It's a load of shit. Maybe if you're a new fan and don't already know much about him then it would be mildly entertaining, but otherwise it's just the same recycled crap you've heard a hundred times before.

For the record I thought Purple Doves was fairly decent, especially for an unofficial DVD. But seriously, I wouldn't waste your money on The Glory Years.

Assuming you already have the official concert DVDs, see if you can track down some of the pro-shot bootleg DVDs circulating. The Beautiful Strange concert from London 1998 is a must-see.
