I love this album but rarely listen to it. I was just making an hour long drive so I popped it in and was reminded of its greatness. Is there a way to get a version that has the tracks seperated? That would put this album into much heavier rotation for me. I think I read somewhere that the British version has seperate tracks. Is that true?

Rip the whole thing into WAV format with iTunes or something. Then open that file in Adobe Audition, or another music editing program and chop it up yourself. Just as quick as anything else. The tracked version on CD has undue fades at the end of the songs, which ruins the continuity of it.

Only the U.S. Promo CD has the fades between tracks.
The UK / European tracked version doesn't have fades, and the songs segue into
eachother exactly the same as on the untracked version.

Interesting. I picked up a tracked version a couple of months back. Wasn't sure which version it was, but I wanted it for completion sake. The fades kind of annoyed me. I never knew (or heard?) if the Germany tracked one had the fades or not. So I guess I have a promo CD then, plus the regular 1-track album. Sweet.

Nice find, as the U.S. Promo CD is rarer and more valuable.
(not like mega bucks or anything)

OK. Now I have to find one of those promos. Besides the DJ sticker adhered to the jewel-case, are there any tell-tale signs indicating a US promo? When I'm going through the used bins, I need to know what to look for and stickers usually don't last long.

Ernest, could you be a lamb and post pics of the promo's back, back of booklet and CD? biggrin

I bought a brand new copy about 6 months ago when i heard about the tracked version and it's identical to the original except it's split into tracks which is very handy when making comps, which i do every now and then. As long as you buy a brand new copy, rather than second hand it will be tracked. I payed about £4 from hmv or amazon, can't remember which.

The US CD releases are still one continuous track. For a while, when Lovesexy was out of print, store here had only imports in stock and those were tracked European copies.
