By November, 90% of buyers will forget the album, yet the Org will be flowing with "What is your favorite order of tracks?". By December, he'll have forgotten the website, but not before he posts a final "Satan Claus" message on it for the Holy Days. By this time next year, someone will be asking, "What are your hopes for 2011 and Prince?" Then someone like me will pop up and post a similar reply. That is very detailed...is this Prince?

He showed interest in doing something. I am very happy for that”, Moura modestly admits, and reveals that “the Prince of Minneapolis” has already played one of her works on piano. Source: Google Nooooo! Pleeez, no Fado! OMG, Fado is terrible as it is (I know this is blasphemous to our Portuguese friends, and I luv Portugal), Funky Fado would be 10,000x worse...

Yeah, and I'm planning on assassinating the idiocy, ignorance, and insanity on this forum. That is NOT funny, and if U R serious, then U R an accessory. Oh... your profile doesn't exist all of a sudden. Banned, or just a hit-it-and-quit MO? "He's a musician's musician..."

I am wondering if 2010 will be a quiet year for Prince.
The "Purple and Gold" song at least indicates he is working on material.I am not sure if that means we will get an album or not. I would like a new album if Prince has something to offer for 2010. If not at least by 2011 there will be a new album. Maybe he will do small club gigs again. I thought the next project was supposed to be a more jazz-free form venture, but who knows. I would love a few remastered albums. Maybe Prince could do remastered deluxe editions like U2 did, bonus material - the 12' singles - full versions, alternate takes, etc. I remember daydreaming about the Parade album once because the 12" singles were all 7-10 minutes long. Were there any other songs that had extended versions we did not hear yet? Some extra gems like that could be fun to have. I hope Prince has good 2010.

Could it be that Prince will make a great record? Personal opinion: 3121 and Planet Earth were very good, Lotusflower missed that mark by a small margin, perhaps it's time for a really good album this year. For me, Lotusflower peed all over Planet Earth from the top of Big Ben, so whatever Mr P does, some of us will be happy, and some of us...

I SOOOOO agree with RedKite and I'm sure the majority of others here do also. As amazing as his recent releases have been, they don't capture me/us the way his music did when he was on the fringe. lotusflower was a watered down flash back to the old days (specifically MPLS Sound), but it was enough to bring me back and I LOVED it. It's obvious that there is a market for that kind of music (btw just because he's a JWitness doesn't mean he doesn't have those thoughts and the wandering mind to create the music he has in the past). But since he pushes those creative areas of his wandering mind away, it would be AWESOME for him to release the shelved recordings. And I believe WB owns them or at least in part.
So it would ultimately be up to WB. Lets launch a website called WBPRINCE.ORG and post lots of posts about how they should release these recordings (sarcasm) Ok, seriously. He can take a break and let us feast on his shelved recordings and let us reconnect with him. But again, he just is so headstrong at ignoring his fans. And we are stupid enough to purchase substandard recordings that were done with a complete lack of passion. I'm NOT saying he should record what we want and what we like, but I think it would be nice if at least release some of the vault material that is now considered some of the greatest quality of music NEVER heard. Whatever, I feel like I'm wasting my time on all this. Whatever!! [Edited 2/11/10 1:24am] A man came up 2 me, smile in his eyes
