What are your hopes for 2010?

Could it be that Prince will make a great record?

Personal opinion: 3121 and Planet Earth were very good, Lotusflower missed that mark by a small margin, perhaps it's time for a really good album this year.

I would like some kind of concept album, maybe something psychedelic!

A little bird close from WB said to me that some talkings are on the way again between Prince's Staff and WB's Staff for the reissues of the Prince WB Back Catalogue .....but we don't know at this stage if something or not will come in the next few months ???

He'll release an album in October, with an insert housing a special 17-digit code to access his new $98 website, www.FuckinUDry.com. 1 in 1000 codes will access "special features" on the site, which will basically be the videos he pulled from YouTube (quality intact), plus a 128k mp3 of "Push It Up" from a bootlegged audience recording copy of the show.

By November, 90% of buyers will forget the album, yet the Org will be flowing with "What is your favorite order of tracks?". By December, he'll have forgotten the website, but not before he posts a final "Satan Claus" message on it for the Holy Days.

By this time next year, someone will be asking, "What are your hopes for 2011 and Prince?" Then someone like me will pop up and post a similar reply.

lot's of bass playing and introducing some interesting beats... some of those amazing "Prince-rhythms" again.

Prince is not able to do that...


But a Gold Experience part II would be very appreciated.

a refund for 2009 is on my wishlist LOL - minus $12 for LF/MPLS/Elixer...I don't mind paying 4 those (even though I got a friend to buy me an actual real-world cd copy too and send it my real mail on a real plane to my real house)

Don't think there will be a new record in 2010. He could be touring the US at least, but he said he doesn't like doing that now. So I guess it'll be all about random one off performances through the year.

A major tour is all I want

It'd be easier to swallow his tantrums if he treated his fans like private citizens with boring jobs and fixed incomes, and not so much like fascists who are conspiring against him. And I'd hope that a more friendly approach from him would breed an equally more friendly tone from his fans.

Fans may have to remember that Prince is just human, but it seems Prince himself must remember that his fans are human as well.

As for music in 2010. First of all, I hope that there'll be new music from the ol' funker, and secondly (and this is really all I hope for), that he'll surprise me with some brand new tricks. You see, I don't really need nostalgia, when I still got my vinyl records.

We'll see. Bump this thread in December.

I would LOVE a new PRINCE album for 2010!

New music from the Purple Bad Ass always makes my year a little better. Also… new music videos, T.V. appearances and an arena tour (hopefully in the round) would be nice too.

Sure it would be great to have a comeback tour with a fantastic album and the music all over YouTube and Prince wouldn't care. But we all know that's not going to happen. He's going to maybe get 1 news story about him doing a show in Europe with some pictures on the side of him sucking in his cheeks wearing sunglasses and the rich old lady attire.
