What Is Your Dream Set For A Prince Tour For 2010?

If Prince decides to tour or do concerts-in-residence (like he says he prefers) in the U.S. in 2010, what are your dream set choices for his concert--if he doesn't put out a new album! I just heard the Dream Factory double album for the first time and I think he should include all of that as well as songs from "The Truth" CD and throw in a couple from Lotusflower. What do you think? What is your dream Prince concert experience for 2010? Feedback from musicians and other experts welcome!!! biggrin

There are so many INCREIDBLE Prince songs to hear live but if he did a large scale world tour for 2010 I would think he should do a mix of hits and fan favs. I think most people can handle a 2 hour plus Prince show. How about this for a possible set list.….

Let’s Go Crazy
Endorphine Machine/Guitar
Feel Good, Feel Better, Feel Wonderful
1999/Baby I’m A Star
Chocolate Box
319

Future Baby Mama/Call My Name
The Beautiful Ones/Diamonds and Pearls
The Most Beautiful Girl In The World

Erotic City
Cream
The One U Want 2 C/So Far, So Pleased
When U Were Mine
I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man

When 2 R In Love
The One/Te Amo Corazon
Adore/The Holy River
7
4Ever
I Wish U Heaven

Emancipation/Musicology
Jam Of The Year/DMSR
U Got The Look/Take Me With U
Black Sweat/Kiss
Dance With Me
I Would Die 4 U

Encore 1:
I Feel 4 U/High
Come On/Gett Off
Aplhabet Street/Glam Slam

Encore 2:
Somewhere Here On Earth
Gold
Purple Rain

*Plus whatever New Music he might release in 2010

Yeeeesh. Fink on keyboards pales in comparison to Morris Hayes or Tommy Elms. I don't need him there for the sake of some Revolution vibe. Lisa plays circles around that guy, and Morris makes him totally irrelevant, as does Tommy. good list though for the most part.

Mine would be
Michael Bland - drums
Sheila E. - percussion
Wendy - Guitar
Rev. Mike Scott - Guitar or Dave Barry - Guitar
MeShell NDegeocello. - Bass
Morris Hayes - Keyboard
Lisa Coleman - Keyboard
Sean Mackin - Violin

Backing Vocals:
Rosie Gaines
Susannah Melvoin Bramhall
Shelby J.
Stacey Campbell

Horns:
Atlanta Bliss - Trumpet
Eric Leeds - Sax
Michael B. Nelson - Trombone
Dave Jensen - Trumpet
Kathy Jensen - Sax (baritone)

Craft services:
Tony M. (watch out though, he'll try to charge $7 a plate)

Great set up ernest.

Here is what I would like to see.

The Band:
Prince – Lead
Sheila E. – Drums & Percussion
Rhonda – Bass
Wendy – Guitar
Mike Scott - Guitar
Lisa – Piano/Keyboards
Morris Hayes – Keyboards

Horns:
Eric Leads – Tenor & Baritone Sax
Candy – Alto Sax
Kathy Jensen – Soprano Sax
Atlanta Bliss – Trumpet
Dave Jensen – Trumpet
Michael Nelson – Trombone

Back Up Vox:
Susannah Melvoin
Jill Jones

*And I do like the back up dancers. There is something playful and sexy about having 1 or 2 dancers playing off of Prince. I liked Diamond & Pearl and Mayte. Wishful thinking…
