PrintableI love it, it's incredible and it's what made me a Prince fan for life. Also the instrumental, which is a totally sublime piece of music. He was SO brave then, and it was SO unusual, I was completely mesmorised by God vocal, still am.. and yes it's very spooky too...! It's out of this world. Best thing he's ever done! THAT is Prince to me.. see my signature 
Oh, and it's the studio recording that I like, the one on the 12". Live versions don't do it for me at all... you need to listen to the two together God vocal and instrumental, then Purple Rain... perfect! [Edited 1/13/10 11:43am] | |

I have often thought of putting all of my favorite Prince "God loving" music together on one disc and just playing it that way. Has anybody ever done this? I guess they could be entered into an ipod in a row aswell. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin. | |

I choregraphed a dance 4 this song & did it every day for a hour 4 3 days...think even GOD marveled ...The music was so spiritual it carried me like a feather...could do it again one day...requires space , alot of space... | |

I loved the vocal song at first, when I finally heard the instrumental, wow I was blown away, this "Love Theme from Purple Rain" instrumental is really something too...
