Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians too. [Edited 1/14/10 11:44am] ure right... christians and jehova witness are one the same faith..theres no different.. O'h yes, there is a difference and the "difference" is all that matters. It starts and ends with 1+1+1=3.

I think that he is saying: if I can't be with you (his true love) now, someday they will be, in this life or the next.....they will (a lot of religions believe in 'recarnation')! Their love is soo strong....it will be forever!!!!!? Sorry, I didn't read the whole thread, so maybe someone said this before...(and it's just MY opinion )! I agree. When U try to think of the omnipotence of God. "The Creator of Life." Especially the love story of "Adam and Eve." When the two do become one flesh, that is an eternal relationship...Not just a 10 year marriage or a couple years of rolling in the hay. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

mmmm closest to the land of isarael .... Cyprus is the birth place of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, beauty and raw sexuality. It fits better the meaning of the song and is more accurate geographically, don't you think? Moreover, it has heavenly beaches! [Edited 1/23/10 4:05am] I am but mad north-northwest

My interpretation is rather different. I think the song is about the change in mentality that a man undergoes throughout his life. His perspective of love, or true love.
When he is very young he doesn't care much because he has "other plans", "right now, right now"(carrer, have fun, etc), he has his whole life ahead, "eternity" (doesn't life look eternal when you're very young? it sure felt like it to me...). Later on as he matures he starts to feel the need to hold on to someone and be in love with her forever, even with marrying her. That's my take... I am but mad north-northwest
