squirrelgrease said: bigd74 said: So your saying in response to Squirrelgrease's post that Lotusfukka is better than SOTT? all SG said was if you put SOTT as a benchmark as his best and rate the others against it then LF gets a 2 3121 gets a 2 and PE is the crust round my bell end. 'Zactly. I can't with good conscience give Lotusflow3r/MPLSoUND and 3121 higher than if SOTT gets and Dirty Mind, Controversy, One Nite Alone-Piano and The Gold Experience receive and albums like Graffiti Bridge, Come, Chaos And Disorder, The Vault, Chocolate Invasion, The Slaughterhouse and Batman get . is not bad for a Prince album. There's just such a large body of work to rank preferentially. Planet Earth on the other hand... I just can't believe you only give Sign O the Times 5 out of ten. RIP

out of 5
3121 / 4 lotusflow3r / 3.5 Planet Earth / 2.5 Sometimes I really like lotusflow3r. At other times, it's ok. Right now it's just ok. 3121, usually like a lot. It's a good album for what it is.

I like them all and it really depends on the mood, but if I had to rank them it would be Lotusflower, 3121, and Planet Earth.

it's all opinion. I rather listen 2 emancipation than SOTT relatively new to princes music then. She Believed in Fairytales and Princes, He Believed the voices coming from his stereo

normally the newer fans are into the newer stuff and didn't get caught up in the whole 80's thing and the older fans would say that Emancipation is now way near as good as SOTT, it's all opinion of course but thats the general feeling.

my taste is fairly out the norm. Even though emancipation is my 1st favorite album. my second would be Controversy.

My experience.
First CD of Prince's that I bought was the Best of. Wondered what he was up to now (october 2009) Found Planet Earth, I really liked it alot. Found 3121 in a used section of a music store and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! It is one of my top 3 favorites. I was SO looking forward to lotusflow3r. I was SO, SO, SO disapointed by lotusflow3r. I joined prince.org for the first time in April just to grieve. Anyway 3121, to me is the best release of his of the last decade, hands down. There isn't a song on that CD that I skip, ever. Lotusflow3r? Don't even know where that thing is, I think I kicked it under the dresser. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.
