Right The Wrong... TERRIBLE SONG! Today, I popped in my Chaos & Disorder CD. "I Like It There", "Dinner With Delores", and "The Same December" go through... fine, fine.
I hit "Right The Wrong", let out a sigh, and wished I opted for Emancipation instead. I forgot just HOW BAD it actually was. Anyone feel the same? I do nothing professionally. I only do things for fun. johnart: Acrylic's old bras is where tits of all sizes go to frolic after they die. Tit Heaven.

Musically I would say it's good with a slight margin. Noteworthy is the lyrics about the Indian woman and the land injustice. New territory for Prince.

My take...
Right the wrong reminds me of the whole Parade era tinged with a bit of LoveSexy for some reason. Like a rockier take on Mountains. And thus, I adore it. The vocal delivery are on point and the whole band feel fleshes out the song giving it a rich epic feel. One of the highlights on the album. And love that classic Prince Awwwoaaaa at 2:44. As I am fond of saying, that woman should've buried this song with her grandpa. [Edited 1/4/10 4:44am] We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

It's cheesy but I thought it was interesting the way Prince addressed the Indian land issue. "I got six feet of it back!" is a pretty darn cool ine, IMO.

You hit it on the head for me. Great little track for what it is. U might not like the taste, but I'm still going to stick your face in this Funk

I am surprised that Prince would release stuff like this. I know it was a contract filler, but didn't he think albums and songs like this make him look bad????? The story isn't fully known by everyone....so a lot of the stuff he does or releases makes people hate him. [Edited 1/4/10 6:38am] Prime aka The Kid

i think it's a great song. it's some Prince hadn't really done before (the country thing) and it was one of early "rage against the system" songs.

one of a handful of Prince songs I really don't like, It's saved from tottally dreadfulness by the guitar towards the end. Something BIG Is Coming.

The unreleased version (outtake) of the song is a bit better than what's on the album - - just because it has an extended jam that makes the whole thing redeemable.

The only songs I can listen to off that album today is "Dinner With Delores" and "Had U". Haven't played the rest of that album in years. Change it one more time..

Ilike the song. In fact, I thought the album was great from stem to stern. It's strange how so many people thought it was a weak effort. I also thought it was some of the best cover art of any of his albums.
Odd how it came and went with little comment, except by the fans.
