Jason Rebello did a brief stint as a monk, before returning to play piano. I don't think a natural talent can leave music behind, even in the pursuit of a higher cause. I think some would say that their real contribution would be to share their gift with as many people as possible. Thankfully both Jason and Prince carry on doing that today.
