It's like a mini-gatefold CD, I saw it in Walmart. Is this a reissue?

Digipak, and I saw that too. Forget if it was Walmart or Best Buy. I was at both this weekend, but probably Walmart.

I believe it is a Wlamart exclusive. There are three releases like this, the Best of and Hits 1 as well. Official and pretty cheap as well. I think I got Purple Rain for $7.

I've seen it too at Walmart. I think it's part of some earth-friendly packaging thing. My Chaka Khan "Epiphany" CD came in the same packaging. I hope the earth-friendliness is because they're using recycled materials, and people aren't throwing the cases away (yikes!).

This also reminded me of the poem that's (somewhere) on the original vinyl package. I still have the CD longbox where the poem is on the back. Does a new Purple Rain CD, in plastic or paper case, include the poem at all?

Yep. Walmart exclusive. They also carry the Hits 1 CD and Very Best Of with the digipak enclosure.
