Sometimes, I'll hear a Prince album and won't like it. Then someone will ask me to give an album another listen a year or so down the road and I'll appreciate something I didn't before. I felt this way with some songs on NPS, Emancipation and Come. I don't look at it as necessarily being slow on the uptake but that I am ready to hear certain music at certain periods in my life. But mose stuff from the 90s I really can't stand it.
