Ahh YES! I do miss the 12” singles from the 80’s and early 90’s. When I was growing up I would save my money and run to the local mall record store to buy my new Prince 12” single release as soon as the store was open. Patently I would wait out the door anticipating what would the new extended version of Let’s Go Crazy, Pop Life, Kiss Glam Slam or Batdance would sound like and more importantly, I wanted to hear the new mysterious B-Side! It was the bonus prize in the cracker jack box. Ahhh, the glory days of vinyl were indeed GRAND! But come to think about it….how in the world did I manage to know when, where and all info surrounding a new Prince release without having up to date real time internet leaks??? Crazy!

So, some of my favorite Prince 12” extended singles were from the Parade album. Plus these!

I think it is a totally diffrent recording. It was either a rehearsal or a jam session. And it is like 10 minutes long. Which is said to have been cut down from 30minutes.

the 30 minute version is AWESOME. It is really a jam session you hear Prince telling the band what to do and what not. The shorter version is edited and polished up a bit
