The movie was fully black and white including the credits.

The video, I believe, was color. There's also footage from the making of the video that has leaked out in recent years.

Let's not be too dismissive. That "fug" got on TV, got a date with Prince, a concert w/ 300 of her closest, and newest, friends, and had a night she's never forgotten.

If Prince finger-banged her in the back of the theater, maybe she'd have something to boast about, but she was used as a piece of promotion because they didn't know where else to premiere the film without casing embarrassment for WB.
But she didnt get even the tip of his purple pinky, he sat with her in the dark, said a few words to her and sent her off in a limo.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Wow...i can't believe that's the FIRST thing she lists in her bio. And that was more than 20 years ago! biggrin

Music was great. As much as I like Prince, I thought it was a very expensive home movie he made. Soon after he would repeat himself with UTGB, same outcome great music but another mtv home movie. Musician great as he is, movie directing is not his cup of tea. Nevertheless I still would like to see him starring in another music themed movie, but with the likes of a Tim Burton penning and directing.

Hahahaha that's Mary Lambert, I believe. The self-imposed glamorous Hollywood director that was fired from UTCM for being a bit TOO Hollywood. I wonder just how much better the film could have been with someone else directing it. Maybe Prince would have been challenged more if someone was telling him to do more, and be more, even if it was just Mary Lambert.

Kristen looks good:

no it would cost money to re-release it and that money would not be recouped by the 4 or 5 people here who would buy it.

They should have just thrown it on the DVD of the movie and be done with it.

It's from the film.

The disk is "1999 The New Master" on purple vinyl. I scanned and printed the CD cover to put in there as pictures; although one of the pictures is from the 1800NEWFUNK site at the time. I did frame it myself. I also had all four "Purple Rain" purple vinyls in one frame. I also framed the CED of Purple Rain in a shadow box.

I have all the stuff, but I don't have a Prince room anymore. Haven't since about 2002.

I just always wanted a room like that. I think every Prince fan does, and a lot have had it. I had a small apartment, so I made good use of the space I had. I've not had a Prince room since 2002.
