PrintableWell his live shows of late have been wowing me like nothing else in many many many years.
many. This past decade he has not only made up for his cringeworthy 90's output in most respects, but almost destroyed and almost(*MplSound)left it forgiven and forgotten. Highlights "Musicology Tour" Nothing left to say about this tour other than awesome. SNL "Fury", Brits and Alma Awards, Hall of Fame "while my guitar gently weeps" Coachella "Creep" and "Shy" literally blew me blew me away like something out of "The Hurt Locker" the solos on Creep and Shy are amazing as fuck! (....some dimwits couldn't comprehend the lyric change on "Creep" and the reason an artist makes a song his own, people please pull the stick out of your ass and just enjoy this masterpiece of a performance already) The Three LA shows Conga Room Nokia Theatre, Club Nokia Colonized Mind, Dreamer, Empty Room, everything was bad ass as hell. Montreux and Monaco, same as above Prince will WOW me and the world if he takes this approach to anything he does, showing the world, even jaded folks like me and everyone who has ever doubted him why he is certifiably the best performer alive today, to get to hear his art and saw WOW. I would say a well advertised well produced series of shows that demonstrate all of his abilities from the one man show on guitar and piano, the guitar rock god, and maybe throw in some lush orchestrated Clair Fischer segments to showcase his versatility and deep bench we all know he could launch into. 1. Wake the fuck up!
2. Fire his yes minions and snitches! 3. Get a restraining order on LG! 
4. Hire qualified producers! 5. Hire qualified web developers! 6. Open a new website complete with it's own vault of music and videos from his ENTIRE catalog of work! Stream singles and clips for free! Make full CDs and DVDs available in high quality downloads and hard copies for a reasonable fee! 7. Rock the internet by streaming a kick ass full length live concert as only he can do from anywhere in the world that he chooses (Detroit's always a good place for that!  ) for a reasonable fee so that Prince fans all over the world could see!
And finally... 8. Post a personal apology on the Org to all the "Haters" name checking ME specifically! Admitting that he has been trippin' for the last decade or so and we were right all along and he appreciates us for not giving up on him totally! ALL of that would give me permanent residence on  I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart. | |

What really would wow me would be if Prince were to go back to doing celebrations at his studio in Chanhassen. Anybody who has ever been to one knows how much fun they were. Lots of great memories! RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. | |

I do not believe that Prince can "wow" me at this point unless there is an artist out there that can scare him out of his comfort zone. Michael Jordan was at his best when the Knicks and Pistons were trying to break him. He would raise his game up a notch.That is what Prince needs. A RIVAL. He is too comfortable now. So except for the occasional gem you are not blown away like before.I had hoped at one point that D'Angelo could have been that guy but he does not have a speck of discipline to pull it off. | |
