Thank You, Prince!

I just thought I would use this time to thank Prince for all of the inspiration and music that he has given to all of us musicians. With the Rainbow Children, he has shown that corporations cannot break his spirit and his faith in Y-H-W-H the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. I can see how the record companies of the past had restricted his creativity and more specific, his spirituality. I understand, because even in the music today on top 40 charts, even the Christian charts, many artists seem absent of soul and try to please a certain "ideal". I admire Prince because he has the means and voice to bring a powerful non-conformist Christian message to the people. I don't conform to the normal corporate Christian belief system, so I too understand how it is to be held back from being heard.

So, much love to Prince,

Your friend,

Jason Dodson

I think the poster was trying to say that Prince created a cd that espoused his own beliefs (christian or otherwise ala Lovesexy) in the way that he wanted. Not saying one has to agree with those beliefs but he did do his own thing the way he wanted when he wanted. And different from the standard chistian music release in that most christian releases now days seem to be pop and with a diluted message. And for some it has inspired them to do the same etc.

Don't let nobody bring you down, JDODSON, hold on to your own beliefs. I'm not a JW but I can relate more to your faith than to the nihilistic beliefs most people seem to have nowadays.

BTW, I have downloaded some of your tracks and they kick ass. Too bad about the soundquality of the downloads, but the beats, basslines and arrangements of some of the (funk) tunes are really good. I have to say that the best tracks (Dance With Me and Nissy Kahlain's Rebirth) sound like tracks that could have been written and produced by Prince himself. Now that's about the biggest compliment I can give a musician!

LOL...smile That was how the name was originally translated from Hebrew text to Old English.....I think thats right. The current "Yahweh" spelling is from people adding the letters of pronunciation... at least thats what I have heard.
