PrintableOpinions on who is the better this, and who the better that are all just that...opinions. I happen to think MJ is pretty shit, and whilst I thought he was cool when I was 10, I cant abide him now.
At the end of the day who has written and produced almost everything they've done since their very first album? Thats even more impressive when you consider prince has released about 5 times as much as MJ. MJ is a performer (and a very good one in his day ie.1970-1987), Prince is music personified, he has everything. | |

Prince has sold about 60 million albums.
Thriller alone is about 7 million sales away from that. Whether you like MJ or not that is some fucking achievement. | |

Me too. It remains my fave MJ album since Off The Wall. If Invincible had been properly promoted with further single releases (Unbreakable, Whatever Happens, Heaven Can Wait, Speechless, 2000 Watts, Heartbreaker) it could've easily matched or improved on History's 20 million sales. As it is, i think 7/8 million on the back of only two singles is still pretty impressive. | |

its about talent, its about what u can do with an instrument and a voice, and jacko cant do either. peace. f2002, you say it yourself: "he is an entertainer, not a musician." so why do you still try to compare one another. and about the title 'king of pop'; this is definitely not something subjective. i say 'pop' stands for 'popular' as in 'popular music'. mike absolutely WAS the most popular artist in popular music, hence 'the king of pop'. there's just two things wrong about the title: first off, it's supposedly self-proclaimed. secondly, this title was 'given' to mike after his glorious bad-period, at the beginning of the less glorious dangerous-period. this is the period where he started having problems to retain former successes. there you have it. i'm out. don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine

When I was a kid I loved MJ, now as I get older I can still listen to the albums Bad and Thriller but only for novelty value, Prince entertains me on more than that novelty entertainment value. They are both generators of really bad publicity, the problem is MJ is sometimes a little deranged and also is a much bigger star than Prince. Personally . I think we are all Boring with No Lives cause all we do is talk about Prince,Criticize and Gossip. I need a Horny Man is what I Need and probably so do most of yas.
