What's your favorite song from the Small Club boot?

I was listening to it today and remembered why I fell in love with "People Without" and "Still Would Stand all Time." While I can't figure out which one I like better, I'm leaning toward "Still Would Stand All Time" simply because Prince put his heart in that song. Between the lyrics and the delivery, it's simply amazing... However, "People Without" is ridiculously thought provoking... maybe I haven't picked my favorite after all :-p

But maybe you can... if you had to choose your favorite song from Small Club, which one would you pick and why?

"Still Would Stand All Time", precisely for the reason you stated. I feel he put his heart and soul into this timeless jewel. One of those special performances by Prince that would fit perfectly in a concert forum, small club, or a holy chapel.

D.M.S.R. i worship the 'America' guitar solo within. I heard this at a record fair where they were selling boots, i immediately recognised it and asked the stallholder 'What's this? which boot?'. bought it right away.

The whole set is bootleg heaven. Prince was ON that night/morning. "Show of hands. How many are drunk?" I would have been pissed if I was there and was one of the folks too drunk to remember it.

It's all so amazingly good. I was just listening to Kansas City while walking to work this morning, and it's got some phenomenal guitar work, plus Boni's vocals blow me away. There's just nothing bad on there.

I think right now Rave is my favorite, which is odd, because I hate the album version.

Also, apropos of nothing, did anyone else love the subtitle of "A Nice Piece of Short Ass" on this boot? (Or at least the version of the boot that I had.) Cracked me up every time I looked at it.

Is there any photos from this gig?

I have listened to it thousands of times, and often wondered what it looked like.
