the work - vol 1 cd4

Quick Question, from this cd,the work - vol 1 cd4, is it Prince singing nothing compares 2 u? sounds nothing like him at all..if not who is it.

Its the lead singer of "The Family",i believe his name is Paul

St. Paul from The Family. It's a version that is a bit heavier on percussion and a rhythm track, opposed to the more spartan version on the album.

Paul released that on his site quite a few years ago for folks to download.

I have always loved THE FAMILY'S version better than Prince's or Sinead. And I'm sure the only reason is because I heard it by THE FAMILY first. I love the arrangement. Beautiful!

Me too, Eric's Sax solo Kills me everytime. The vault version is a great alternate take with full instrumentation, dig it.
