Funk band for fun, love and money.

I'm posting here because I know a lot of us 'orgers are musicians, albeit closet musicians maybe. If my cross-posting (here, instead of a musician site) bothers you, I'm sorry. You saw the subject, why'd you click on it?

The band is open right now. I know we'll be doing solid funk - mostly originals but yes yes, there's Prince in there.

If you like THIS stuff, you'd be a good match:

We won't be practicing 12 times a week - this is for fun, but we will practice. You wanna hear what I've got so far? This is from my old band - more blues/r&b influenced, but it gives you a basic idea --

Again, I apologize for not making this TOTALLY prince related, but I'm on a mission. Obviously, you have to live in/around Atlanta, you need to have decent gear and A CAR because I AINT PICKING YOUR ASS UP!!
