which prince music video is your favorite? i know that prince has made alot of music videos through out his time as a musician so i thought it would be fun if we got to choose which ones we liked best

for me i mostly like his older 80s videos(Controversy Sexuality and Automatic being my favorite ones i just like them because he looked so HOT in it! ) so yeah which music videos are your favorites??

I don't think his videos are that innovative or exciting. They are all performance videos. But there are a few stand outs with something a bit different in them:

Raspberry Beret (color and animation)
America (great live cut)
Anotherloverholenyohead (great live cut)
When Doves Cry (perfect mix of movie teaser, emoting and performance)
Batdance (Fun)
Glam Slam (love the fat guy in the audience)
Kiss (WENDY WENDY WENDY)
Girls & Boys (BOO!)
I Wish U Heaven (just pretty)
Partyman (Fun)
Diamonds and Pearls (just a nice video)
The Most Beautiful Girl In The World (because of the story line of the girl's wishes)
Gangsta Glam (just for the behind the scenes stuff)
S.H.O.E. (nice imagery)
Te Amo Corazon (nice imagery)

I like the long form videos like The Beautiful Experience, Love 4 One Another, etc.

My fav's-U got the look,partyman,batdance,Gett off,empty room,black sweat,te amo corizon,chocolate box. His early 80s vids sucked,oh and THE ONE!

My favorite Prince music videos:

Baby I'm A Star/Die 4U - because he mesmerized me and literally floored me with his performance and talent and musical ideas and costumes and dancing, everything. I was hooked then on... up until a certain period.

America - because it was live, raw and different than what he did mere months before and because there has got to be a complete show in the Vault. Super live Funk with Prince at a peak of several.

Love 2 The 9's - Prince looked kickass with the swashbuckler facial hair - a classy video with a great songs - should of been a single.

Scandalous - overthetop but the essense of Prince the physical romantic.

Glam Slam - because he was blindfolded and was fully performing.

I hold a special place in my heart for The Morning Papers video.
I remember being so shocked to see Prince in...a jumper(sweater).

I like It There ~ the music is jolly good, the suit is snappy and his hair is pert. It is enchanting mainly because Mr Prince is an eyeful.

I think Kiss was probably his best. It was pretty simple and slick, therefore matching the song. He looked great. He danced. There were some funny moments. Wendy was in it.

It's obvious there is a Zorro type mask in the cloth with eye holes so he can see through the fabric. But I never thought, "Oh, he's blind folded".
