Some of my favs have been listed 777-9311, Let's Work. I thought he did great bass work on Shelia's Romance 1600. Merci for the Speed of a Mad Clown in Summer, Love Bazarre.
The man is a great bass player. Face it this thread could be a year long go on for months and we not list 'em all. X [Edited 12/11/09 9:35am] Who ever said Prince has lost it - has lost it. The Kid's still got game!

Listen to Alphabet St on Indigo Nights - very funny. He stops everything else to isolate the bass and comments "How am I supposed to play with that going on in my back??" or something similar (need to dig it out tomorrow)

What's my name? The Sensual Everafter Joy In Repetition Pop Life Alphabet St Anotherloverholenyohead (extended) Oh, hell yeah. How come I never remember Jerk Out? Great bass line. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

- yes, it´s amazing. Too bad I never heard the entire mix, only the documentary snippet. I love ´7779311´ and ´Let´s work´

PARTYMAN! "Not to sound cosmic, but I've made plans for the next 3,000 years," he says. "Before, it was only three days at a time."

One of my favorites is from his own demo of "G Spot." It's pretty sparse as a full-on "line" goes, but it's a good showcase of his trademark ghost notes and it's got a repeated slapped note that totally makes the song as far as I'm concerned. There's an isolated bass track to a "G Spot" demo floating around on some bootleg packages. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I also like the unreleased version of "Around the World in a Day". It's not hard or especially funky, but it's just right.
Yeah, whoever said "Alphabet Street" was right, too.

Was this version ever released officially? I got some remixes of ´Partyman´ but none of them has this bass part. If it was released, what´s it´s name?
