Why are there no Prince Digital Remastered Re-Releases at all?

Hi there

I was wondering why none of the Prince or prince will be re-released?

Long time ago I heard a rumour that Prince will record all albums he made
for Warner Bros. But nothing was released.

Also some of his prince albums are out of print.

Does anyone know more?

PEACE and B WILD!

Rumor has it that he's negotiating remasters right now. But only the WB catalog.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Let me ask YOU - the fan/fam.

If Prince were to release remasters, what would you play them on?

Rumor. Rumor.

Of course if this is true they would be the WB work. What you think he'd remaster the 3121? Or Emancipation?

Also, yeah, remasters would be digital these days, I dont get the title of the thread.

Yes. I underlined rumor as an emphasis. Also, I was addressing the OP's question, which asked about post-WB OOP titles. Fair?

where did that rumor originate? very interesting. and about damn time biggrin

he could re-release newly mastered WB albums through stores and just put
his self released albums post warners all up on his own website.

than again, that's probably to logical. we're talking prince here falloff

As long as they're not edited, that'd be great, while i'm young enough to appreciate them too. Any longer and we'll all have dementia and won't care anway. confused

I'm not "pushing" this rumor. I'm in effect, perpetuating it with a caveat. Most people know what a rumor is.

ru⋅mor  [roo-mer]
–noun
1. a story or statement in general circulation without confirmation or certainty as to facts: a rumor of war.
2. gossip; hearsay: Don't listen to rumor.
3. Archaic. a continuous, confused noise; clamor; din.
–verb (used with object)
4. to circulate, report, or assert by a rumor: It is rumored that the king is dead.

Instantly. At the moment. It starts with me, if I give in to what other idiots start spreading rumors and start "oh really, and what did he/she/they say...ohhh" I'm part of the extreme stupidity.

But why should I type anything here, you go on do what you do I could give a fuck.

2 words...Warner Bros. lol
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

Wrong.
WB is company.
If they can earn $$ they're in.

P has more stuff on his agenda besides $$, yes that's true.
Would he rerelease his old materials unaltered (except for remastering)?
Would he add some vault track(s)?
For what fee?

He's ashamed of his back catalogue (well the racy parts at least - it's a shame he doesnt see those as art)!!!!!

very doubtful that he would remaster them in there original sequence without editing - doubtful he would support a remastered 'dirty mind' with sister featuring

He aint gonna do that while he's a JW

All this story about the remastering of the WB Prince back catalogue is not a RUMOUR, this info came from a JaZZ French MAg very Serious(JAZZMAG september/october issue) in France , the reporter who is a Prince's Fan too has reported that Prince & WB have been in negotiation in the last 12 months.
WB wanted to release Prince Albums from 1978/1992 era in Deluxe remastered editions with B/sides/Remixes and unreleased stuff like "Pussy Power" from the Black Album sessions or the very long take of Computer Blue.
Prince wanted 15 millions $$ for this , WB doesn't want to give so much money for that & so for the moment it's dead!!

neutral

rumour or not - i doubt very much that he would agree to releasing 'non-compliant JW material' on remasters for whatever amount of money!!!!!
