NPGMC in good value merchandise shocker!

This just in for (non-member) UK fams:

Cost of ONA…Live thru retail:

HMV £49.99 (plus mileage of finding one of the few stocking the bloody thing)
Virgin £49.99 (as far as I’ve heard, there are only a few stores stocking it)

Cost online (UK based stores):

4 = Amazon £43.45 (inc delivery) – 2-4 week wait
3 = HMV.com £53.09 (inc delivery – 3 week wait
2 = NPGMC £40.55 (inc delivery) - ??? wait
1 = Tower £39.76 (inc delivery) – 3 week wait

way to go NPGMC! All non-members support your local musical genius and fork out the extra 79p!

I don’t want to stoke the fire but…this means that UK fams paid around £25 for the ONA and Xpectations albums (assuming that, like me, u couldn’t make/afford any of the shows). This isn’t exactly great value, especially considering NPGMC didn’t even have to fork out CD production costs for Xpectations. Of course, you might want to spend the extra to support the greatest musician around, but that “how much is it worth to you” strikes me as a bit manipulative – a fix is worth anything to an addict, but that doesn’t justify artificially high pricing.

Apologies if this is thought to be on wrong forum – it started off about ONA---Live and kinda turned into NPGMC discussion. Maybe I should post if on all the forums, just to be sure wink

I paid £80 for the album and 2 calenders.

$50 for the Album
$20 each for the Calenders, That's $90 Plus $35 Postage and packaging.

It may have been cheaper to buy it direct from HMV.

I wasn't impressed but I have it now!

UK members got the worst deal?
They only got three concerts in a row which were among the most interesting from this tour, two aftershows, the CDs and the downloads.

You can turn it upside down if you want to... the concerts are part of the membership.

if you don't like it don't bloody buy it.
why compare the prices?
your only go and waste money some other place, so do everyone a favour and stop complaining.

UK got 5 gigs I think, 3 London and 2 Manchester. I think personally, that the club has turned out to be great value this year.
RIP sad
