I don't get good TV reception at my house, so instead of watching the Rage special, I put on an old VHS of a former rage special they had done on Prince in 2003. And let me tell ya, the playlist was SO MUCH BETTER THEN! Last night's one was the same shit they've rehashed 3 or 4 times now. The 2003 one had all sorts of acutally surprising and little seen stuff. Thieves in the Temple extended, Gangster Glam, Same December, Dinner with Delores...they actually delved deeply into the 90's and didn't just peter out round 1992. Had a much better time reliving that stuff than the musty dusty playlist of last night. If I were programming it, it would be the funk bomb, y'all. Clips from The Beautiful Experience, Rock n Roll is Alive, Black Sweat, Musicology, Come On from Jay Leno, Arsenio Hall D+P stuff...oh and Crimson and Clover. Top video.

^ agreed, The ABC need to do a whole night from about 11pm to 6am to cover it all. starting it at around 2:15am doesn't do it justice. Better than nothing I guess
