Anyone know what happened to... this Prince lyrics website???
http://www.princelyrics.co.uk/ This was my goto site if I ever had any questions about what his Purpleness was singin'... then sometime in the last 3 or 4 weeks poof! They 're gone... 
So I ask the all knowing org... Anyone know? Got connections? What's the dealy-o...

It costs money to run sites like the Org, TheDataBank(RIP), Housequake(RIP), TheDigitalGarden, PrinceVault, etc. If a site asks for donations, runs ads or starts selling merch, Prince will see that as trying to profit from his name and unleash his lawyers. Sometimes it just become no fun and a seemingly fruitless chore after Prince shits on fansites that are more or less only trying to pay homage to him and his work. Hell, Ben doesn't even post here anymore. The Org could very well get it's plug pulled at any time. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

That's wierd.
Normally sites charge a $100 lifetime membership before disappearing. But they'll come back even shittier and charge $77 dollars eventually. I'm not sure what the pattern is for free non-official sites though. | |
