prince's development

For those of you who saw P live in the early days, how did P develop as a performer, singer and musician between the Prince album tour,1999 and SOTT? Did his dance moves change a lot and what about his skills as a musician? From the few videos I've seen, he seemed a bit awkward on stage on the Prince tour and seemed to want to come across like Mick Jagger.

I didn't have the chance to see Prince any earlier than the "1999," show.

I don't know what to say other than I love Prince as a young man and how he has aged and matured over the years.

Prince has had a platform unique to his skills. Prince is a charming performer. cool

The staged cockiness has become a comfort-zone of controlled discipline. The musicianship has lost it's well rehearsed dry edginess in favor of well rehearsed faux spontaneity.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Are you sure you're not talking about Madonna?
Ugh. Everything about her is "faux" and calculated.

Very cool. Nice addition to PrinceVault. It's fast becoming my go-to site for Prince info. I can't wait until the A-Z song list is all fleshed out.
