Hey one and all,im new to the forum..so go easy with me I was wondering if 'Its Gonna Be A Beautiful Night' has ever be performed outside of the 'Sign O The Times' era? Its one of my fav songs!

You have cool avatar! But to answer your question: From the bootlegs I have, he has performed that song only during the SOTT era. But I'm sure that Ernest or squirrelgrease will answer your question better than me

It was performed during the Hit N Run Tour, of course. THat's the recording on SOTT. The un-overdubbed version of the same track is on the Le Zenith (or Funky Party 2 Nite) boot. Most of that show is soundboard, except the last 4 songs, which are audience recordings, and "Beautiful night" is one of them.

I don't quite remember Prince ever pulling this song out after SOTT. It's also interesting to note that during the SOTT rehearsals, it started out sounding like the album, then he sped it up and changed it around a bit, as we know it in the movie.
