You guys read too much into a photo, and I'll tell you why. A photo a split second in time. We don't know if he was starting to smile, ending a smile and moving to another emotive face. We all do it without thinking about it. It's as natural as blinking or breathing. That's why I put so little into paparazzi photos because one split second supposed to somehow define a person's mood or spirit, when most times it's a lie in that it's a fraction of time. To take a picture takes as long as it takes to blink. Imagine what you miss when you blink, how little happens. That is what a picture captures. The dude ain't no spring chicken either, he has bags under his eyes. He was probably about 40-ish in this picture (given that it was around Emancipation or NewPowerSoul time frame). Not sure how he looks "sad" in this. No one goes around looking like that, with your teeth on your bottom lip like some south end hick, on purpose. Again, it's a split second in time. Did anyone accuse Ali of trying to tickle Prince? Did anyone say Ali was trying to life Prince's blouse? Did anyone say Ali was leaning on Prince because he wanted a bromance moment? Of course not, that's silly, right? I think the opposite is true. He was happy to meet Ali, and was probably feeling a lot of gratitude and (hopefully) humility during that visit. as I read your thoughts, and re-look at the photo, I realized that the photo is probably more candid than 99% of the photos I see of prince...either he's going into a fashion show dressed to the nines, or on stage ina clothes he's designed for himself...this coulda been prince on his day off...thanks! | |
