If Prince was facing forward on the stage (there was a "front" of the stage, which put Sheila just behind him on stage right), then I was at about the 2 o'clock position. Apollonia was there that night. She tried to get under the stage to see Prince before the show, but they wouldn't let her in. (Hello, he wasn't under the stage before the show, they always walked out to the stage in the dark.) She was signing tour books, but I never went over to her. You guys are so lucky! In that moment mainstream audience taste was changing, from 80's pop to a more raw and alternative music, What was the people reaction at the concert? Compared to the reception Lovesexy got in Europe, the fans in NC didn't seem to be feeling it.

It's one of my favorites. I haven't any logical reason why, I just enjoy it and have the song "I Wish U Heaven" seperated out from the rest so I can listen to it over and over again. I find it very uplifting. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.
