Nurse V is considering Susannah 'plain'... why? because she is white?
IMO she was / is a natural beauty, with a far more intelligent 'aura' then empty blow-up dolls like Vanity, Appolonia and Mayte.

Shes also mentioned in the songs Susannah's Pajamas, Crystal Ball and the Ballad of Dorothy Parker, turns out Susannah told Prince who Dorothy Parker was. I think shes the subject of Strange Relationship 2. He was absolutely obsessed with her It was written between June and the middle of July, 1984. He was dating her before that, because "The Beautiful Ones" is about her, and that was written at the end of September 1983. "Susannah's Pajamas" is an instrumental, so she's mentioned in title only. That was also written in the June/July 1984 time frame. It was originally titled "Mazarati". "Strange Relationship" dates back to June 1985, so if that's about her, it shows they were having slight problems 18 months before the potential breakup. Yes, you are right, because he probably met her about early 83 when Wendy joined the group and once he knew she was a Lesbian turned to her sister. So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

I would bet they met way before that. Wendy had been around Prince's camp at least as far back as the infamous Rolling Stones debacle. Wendy was there, backstage, for that. I could be logical to assume that Susannah had made an appearance here or there as well. Remember, Lisa and Wendy were friends since they were youngsters, so Susannah was in the mix as well. And once Lisa ended up in Prince's band, Wendy and Susannah eventually had some level of exposure to Prince as well. Now when Prince went typhoon over Cuban heels for her is another issue, and probably dates to around the 1982/3 time frame.

Sounds like they met spring/early summer 1983.
Wendy: "I'm a twin, so it's very difficult for me to be any distance from Susannah for any lenght of time. So when I joined Prince's band, Susannah would visit me in Minneapolis, and that's when Prince met her. As a matter of fact, he met her at a party at Dez Dickerson's house - the guy I replaced in the band. Remember that Lisa? We were like , oh my God, Prince is outside with Susannah!" Susannah: "I went out to Minneapolis to visit Wendy. When I got to Minneapolis, Prince had started rehearsing for Purple Rain. They were taking acting classes. One day Vanity wanted to leave early. She asked if I'd take her place in a skit with Morris Day and Prince."

And Wonderful Ass
According to Susan Rogers that song was about Vanity. Lyrically he's not very passionate about the woman in question, (as he usually is in the "Susannah -songs"), only about her ass

I never knew that. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Prince wrote "Nothing Compares 2 U", "The Beautiful Ones" about her, to name a few. He even named "Susannah's Pajamas" after her. He had proposed marriage to her as well, but they ended up breaking up around the time the Revolution was disbanded. Of course (for those of us who know), she was in The Family with St. Paul (of The Time, who replaced Jimmy Jam on keyboards), Eric Leeds, and Jerome Benton (of The Time, and later the Revolution) She is now married to musician extraordinaire Doyle Bramhall III, and has some pretty babies w/ him. She is an absolute sweetheart too. Love her to death. LOVE the family!!!! ~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~

'Strange Relationship' is from 1982. I had in the back of my mind that NC2U was about Prince's personal assistant at the time who left his employee. I know it's crazy since everyone says it's about Susannah, obviously, but I'm *sure* I read this in DMSR or a similar book. I've looked for the quote I just can't find it. I wish I could find it just to see what song it actually does refer to.
