Yeah, my ex had several ancestors named Prince. That is not uncommon in Black families. Although some in the general populace (mainly white) seem to think it is a pretense on Prince's part! Ithink your right about blacks having that name in their families for many generations.Ithink it goes back to the masonry(masonic lodge hall/ order) for african americans named after Prince Hall inthe late 1700's.Also my church's former choir director /organist name was Prince:) | |
