The anomaly of Prince Although this might be stating the obvious and the very reason I am writing this is to clarify it for myself but it would seem that the very point of trying to decribe Prince is alluding. The only real word I think that fits is, anomaly. He really is an anomaly in every sense. Gender, sexuality, music, etc. Everything that defines him, doesn't quite fit. He is a mix of contradictions. I guess that's part of the reason he is such a fascinating artist. And it's not an attempt to be different, as if he feels the need to stand out from the crowd. I think he's just naturally that way. Someone who isn't categorised in any way. (Who's identity really is no category, or perhaps every category). | |

I do agree that Prince is unique to music, and I feel his music is a genre in itself.
