Although this might be stating the obvious and the very reason I am writing this is to clarify it for myself but it would seem that the very point of trying to decribe Prince is alluding. The only real word I think that fits is, anomaly. He really is an anomaly in every sense. Gender, sexuality, music, etc. Everything that defines him, doesn't quite fit. He is a mix of contradictions. I guess that's part of the reason he is such a fascinating artist. And it's not an attempt to be different, as if he feels the need to stand out from the crowd. I think he's just naturally that way. Someone who isn't categorised in any way. (Who's identity really is no category, or perhaps every category).

He's not human

I do agree that Prince is unique to music, and I feel his music is a genre in itself.

Underneathe all of the talent. Prince is a man that needs love and needs to love. That is Universal, no matter what Planet U are from.

That's what makes him great-there will never be another quite as good as him
