I think that would go to the duet part and voice of Rosie, (I think) in Diamonds and Pearls.

I agree. Rosie and Prince sound great together in Diamonds and Pearls.

That's right, this is a post about Prince's music!!!

Obviously, from listening to Prince for a long time people know that he loves the female voice.

What's your favorite use of a female voice in a Prince song?

I think 1999 and Christopher's Tracy's Parade are great examples.

I don't think that many artists, especially male artists use the female voice as well as Prince did and still does in his music.

Finally a decent thread on a subject that hasn't been brought up (for a while at least) and isn't about Prince's eye colour or favourite brand of hand cream.

I agree with the OP, it's one of the great individual things you can pick out that makes his stuff individual and special.

And it's not always about having a belter like Rosie Gaines, compare the two versions of In A Large Room... I like the 2009 version, but those la la la's etc on the original just make it. They give it that individual spark.

Jill, Lisa, the Melvoins, Sheila, Rosie, Bonnie, Millenia, heck even Mayte and the Twinz - they all added something. smile

lol lol

but as far as this question goes i love all of his duets with the female voice but my favs have to be Take Me With You Diamonds and Pearls Walk Dont Walk and Incense and Candles nod
