Foo Fighters cover of Darling Nikki Just heard Foo Fighters version of Darling Nikki and thought it was one of the best Prince covers I've heard. Anyone else heard it?

Hate it. Sounds terrible. Prince songs should not be remade especially a classic like Darling Nikki, one of my favorite Prince performances of all time. Bizzy | |

it was terrible and the show was revolting. "Darling Nikki"'s the type of song that you just leave to the master, not re-do's, no covers Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!!  In addition to seeing Prince, I have now lived life. Thank you Purple People!! | |

Are we discussing a live performance of Darling Nikki by the Foo Fighters, or the studio recorded b-side to "Have It All"? Because the studio version is extremely sub-par, but the Foos play the hell out of it live. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

hmmm what do we call foo fighter fans?
Foofs? Apparently the foofs hated it when they found out the original was by Prince. The foofs are like that. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

When I saw their cover of Darling Nikki posted on youtube some of the younger fans were being very cruel about Prince.But I guess it comes with the territory.
