I miss FGTH. Their hype, marketing, packaging, 12"s, and fashion trends were a blast that year.

That was ZTT, the record company. They had manifestos and were way into art and post-modernism. Pop music was a million miles better/smarter back then.

Prince was offended full stop that night. So many people laughed at him, there were rumours he was over in the UK to discuss touring but left in a huff

Sounds like Holly should never insult a closet queen, especially one like Prince, who is so far in the closet hes packing Christmas presents.

Maybe he should not insult anyone or find someone to write something funny to say in the first place.

It was a joke, I remember it well. I was a massive FGTH fan and was great to see 2 of favourite artist on stage together. Not sure it actually bothered Prince that much if at all as he appeared stony faced all night.

Yeah, that was kinda his look for all award shows that year -- the bad-ass, pissed attitude to offset the ultra-fem wardrobe.

Trevor Horn is very well respected for his productions for ABC, FGTH, Grace Jones, Seal and more...

But he was a singer too: "Video Killed The Radio Star" was a huge hit in 1979/ (1980?), for his band The Buggles, and this song was the first to be played when MTV began to air in the early 1980s. The Buggles has released 2 albums, I like them very much.. 1980's synth pop very well produced.

Songs like Video Killed the radio star, Clean clean, Elstree, On TV, I am a camera... I just love both albums. "Living In The Plastic Age" and "Adventures In Modern Recording".
